Loic Remy Leicester City: Chelsea to get £11.5m for backup forward

Chelsea may not have gotten much contribution out of Loic Remy this year, but they’ll get a tidy sum from him when they sign the paperwork with Leicester City to ship him off to King Power Stadium.

According to the Independent, Chelsea have agreed to accept Leicester City’s offer of  £11.5 million in exchange for the 29-year-old French forward/winger. Remy has made just one start for Chelsea in the Premier League this season and just 10 BPL appearances.

Remy scored his only Premier League goal of the season against Leicester City back in December during a 2-1. He has three goals in all competitions this year – on pace for his fewest goals in a calendar year since he debuted for Lyon nearly 10 years ago.

The sale of Remy comes the same week that Chelsea offloaded Ramires while signing Alexandre Pato on loan and adding Matt Miazga on a long-term deal.

Leicester City are currently three points ahead of second-place Manchester City on the Premier League table but have never finished higher than second in the top tier of English football.
