Man United line up £100m triple swoop for talented Champions League starlets

Manchester United are said to be keeping tabs on talented Benfica trio Renato Sanches, Goncalo Guedes and Eliseu, according to the Daily Star.

The 18-year-old Sanches is said to be one of the club’s top priorities, having been on their radar for some time now, though they have been discouraged from making a move due to the alleged £60m release clause installed in his contract.

And The Star states that the Red Devils have been running the rule over Guedes, 19 and Eliseu, 32, with the former said to have his own release clause set at £40m.

All three names have featured for the Lisbon-based giants in this season’s Champions League campaign, and will likely play a part again in their last 16 meeting with Russian champions Zenit St Petersburg.

It seems unlikely that United will bring any of the big money youngsters on board during the January transfer window, especially with it closing its doors on Monday, but the deals could all be revisited over the summer.
