Chelsea forward set for last-minute transfer exit…and it’s NOT Loic Remy

According to reports, Chelsea forward Radamel Falcao has made a late dash to Spain as he looks to secure a move away from Stamford Bridge.

The Express have reported that the Colombian hitman has travelled to Madrid as he looks to complete an escape from west London.

The attacker is reportedly keen to return on loan to Atletico Madrid, the club who originally sold him to AS Monaco back in 2013 before his career took such a downturn.

Chelsea are understood to have attempted to send El Tigre back to the Club of the Principality, but the Ligue 1 side have rejected a proposed return for the forward due to his ongoing physical problems.

Falcao flopped at Manchester United last season—scoring just four goals in 26 outings—and has fared little better this season, bagging just one goal in nine outings for the Blues.

Chelsea have already recruited Alexandre Pato on loan from Corinthians during the ongoing January transfer window, and the Brazil frontman’s arrival will likely further reduce Falcao’s minimal impact at Stamford Bridge.
