Liverpool injury news: Reds get MAJOR injury boost this week – Four stars plus Skrtel & Coutinho back

Despite missing several stars over the past few weeks, Liverpool are no worse for wear and are heading into the Capital One Cup Final with plenty of momentum. They’ll potentially be in even better shape thanks to a surprisingly quadruple-injury return from some of the club’s top players.

According to the Liverpool Echo, defender Martin Skrtel, winger Philippe Coutinho, plus strikers Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi are all expected to return to practice this week. The oft-injured Sturridge is expected back on Wednesday, while Skrtel, Coutinho and Origi are expected back over the weekend.

The four players have combined for nine of Liverpool’s 30 Premier League goals, with Skrtel and Coutinho both starting 17 matches this season. Sturridge and Origi have been used significantly less this season due to lingering injuries or limited production.

Liverpool face Leicester City on Tuesday so the players likely won’t be available until the Saturday fixture with Sunderland at the very earliest.
