But the Portuguese refused to answer when asked if he wanted the Manchester United job. Is this shake of the head in response to the reporter’s question, or simply a sign of his silence on the subject?
According to the Daily Star, United held out hope that they could convince Guardiola to join them instead of City when he leaves Bayern Munich in the summer. But those hopes have been quashed.
