Manchester United are said to have opened talks with Watford striker Odion Ighalo over a deadline day move, according to Bleacher Report.
The Red Devils are yet to have made any moves in the transfer market, despite being in desperate need for a greater spark to get their season back on track.
And Blecher Report states that an approach has been made for the Nigerian international with the view to snapping him up before Monday’s transfer deadline.
However, the report also states that Watford aren’t going to be keen on allowing him to leave at this point, having already notched up 14 goals in 23 appearances this season.
United have had Ighalo on their radar for several weeks now, but should they fail in a move for him now they could still look for alternatives to bolster their forward line.
