Influential Manchester City star set for exit in summer says agent

Yaya Toure’s agent has predicted that the Manchester City star will leave the club at the end of the season when Pep Guardiola arrives.

Toure played under the Spanish tactician at Barcelona between 2008 and 2010 before moving to Manchester where he has become a pivotal part of the club’s success.

With Guardiola being announced as Manuel Pellegrini’s successor in the summer, it remains to be seen whether or not the Ivory Coast international has a future at the Etihad given that he has already been ousted by the former Barca boss once.

“I think Yaya will leave the club,” Seluk told The Sun. “But before leaving I hope he will win again the league and all the cups.

“It’s not a question of whether Pep likes him or not. It’s life, you know.

“Pep can call Yaya and speak to him to let him know ‘I’m with you’ or ‘I am not with you’.”

Toure has made 251 appearances for City, scoring 70 goals and has helped them to two Premier League titles as well as the FA Cup and League Cup.

However, it is unclear as to whether he will form part of Guardiola’s plans or not as the Bayern Munich coach will have his own ideas moving forward and those seemingly didn’t involve Toure during their previous stint together.

The news will likely alert several top clubs around Europe, with Inter previously holding an interest in the commanding midfielder as Roberto Mancini looks to secure a reunion with his former star following their time together in Manchester.
