Petr Cech says Southampton star ROBBED Arsenal of three points

Arsenal’s 0-0 draw against Southampton came at a most inopportune time for Arsenal as Leicester City, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur all won their games, dropping the Gunners to fourth place in the process. Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech believes one Southampton player – Fraser Forster – was responsible for their inability to get the crucial three points.

According to the Daily Mirror, Cech claimed that Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster “robbed” Arsenal of the victory and was the only reason they the two clubs went back to the lockers at Emirates Stadium with one point apiece.

“Fraser Forster robbed us of two points and it was only thanks to him that they got a point,” Cech said.

Forster had arguably one of the best performances by a goalkeeper all season, making 10 saves at the Emirates including two exceptional saves off shots by Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud.

The draw by Arsenal was the fourth straight Premier League match without a win, a feat that has caused the Gunners to drop from the first place they held to start 2016 to just fourth.
