Arsenal are believed to be taking precautionary measures to prevent losing him for the remainder of the season after learning that he is carrying a foot injury, the Daily Mail reports.
The playmaker has been in phenomenal form for the Gunners so far this season, but the club have discovered that he has recently been carrying a foot injury that could turn serious if the correct measures aren’t put in place.
And because of that the Arsenal medical staff are paying extra close attention to his fitness after concerns arose that he could miss the final stretch of the season and have him missing for the title race.
The club have altered the player’s training schedule in order not to aggravate the problem ahead of match day.
The German international has made 27 appearances across all competitions so far this term, scoring five goals.
