Two former Premier League sides will go toe to toe on Saturday as Derby head to London to take on Fulham.
Derby could bring Darren Bent and Andreas Weimann in from the cold.
The pair have not featured since the FA Cup clash with Hartlepool but could be involved this weekend as Paul Clements, a former Fulham coach, returns to Craven Cottage looking for a first win in 6 games.
The Rams drew 0-0 with Preston North End last time out but have had lost three of their previous four games prior to the hard fought point.
The run of poor results has seen the club drop to 5th in the table and they will hope to get back to winning ways against a side 14 places below them in the table.
Fulham meanwhile could hand a number of debuts on Saturday after strengthening their squad during the window.
Midfield pair Zakaria Labyad and Rohan Ince, signed from Sporting Lisbon and Brighton respectively are in line to start while defender Michael Madl, bought in from Sturm Graz is another available to manager Slavisa Jokanovic.
The former Watford boss will also be able to count on the services of centre-back Fernando Amorebieta. The Venezuela international returned to west London early after his loan at Middlesbrough was cut short.
Jokanovic will make a late decision on striker Moussa Dembele. The youngster saw a proposed move to Tottenham Hotspurs fall through at the last minute and his manager’s needs to determine if the players head will be in the game.
It should be a difficult game but one in which Derby will be looking to win as Jokanovic told the Official Derby website:
“Derby have been trying to be a promoted team for a few years, and it is not an easy job, They made some important investments and they are one of the teams who very clearly want to make this step.
“Actually right now in this moment, we have different targets, but I believe we competed very well in our last game [against Hull City]. I am an optimist, I believe we can make something similar with a different end of the game.
I believe we are going to be stronger, more solid, and more competitive. I repeat many times how my team is in a process. We made a good game against Hull two weeks ago, but I expect we can still be better and, what is more important, I expect we can start to win the games.”
Fulham won this fixture 2-0 last season but lost by a similar score-line earlier in the season.
In all the Cottagers have won just two of the last seven meetings between the two with Derby winning three, including a 5-2 win in London in October 2014 in the League cup.
