Manchester United are said to be in a strong position to sign sought-after Watford striker Odion Ighalo this summer, according to The Sun.
The Nigerian international has been in stunning form for the Hornets so far this season, netting an impressive 14 goals in 24 appearances in his debut campaign in the top flight.
The Red Devils are said to have held talks with the 26-year-old over a move on January’s transfer deadline day, but though the move failed to come off, United remain keen on snapping up his signature.
And now the report in The Sun is claiming that Louis van Gaal’s side are still at the front of the queue for his services, though Watford have reportedly set their asking price at £40million.
But having already rejected at £300,000-per-week offer from China, Ighalo is still set for a big money move at the end of the season.
