Despite being unable to score a goal in the Premier League this season, Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard is still viewed by most as one of the best midfielders in the world, and have projected his transfer price to be upwards of £80 million. However, at least one Spanish journalist believes that Real Madrid can acquire the reigning Premier League MVP for a massive bargain.
According to the Metro, journalist Eduardo Inda said on El Chiringuito that Real Madrid are working on acquiring Hazard before Euro 2016 – at a price of only £19.5 million. This past January the Metro reported that Chelsea were looking for £80 million to part with him.
While the idea of Hazard joining Los Blancos has been frequently reported, the notion that Chelsea will part with their prized chance-creator at a 75% markdown from his market value may come across as far-fetched.
The Belgian superstar was named Premier League Player of the Season last year after scoring 14 goals and adding nine assists en route to League Cup and Premier League titles.
