Arsenal keen to sign ‘new Xavi’ Vincent Koziello in the summer

Arsenal are apparently keen to see off interest from Serie A giants AC Milan for the signature of Nice playmaker Vincent Koziello during the summer transfer window, according to Italian publication Calciomercato.

The 20-year-old is currently enjoying a strong breakthrough campaign in Ligue 1, where he has established himself as one of the finest playmakers in the division.

And now the report is claiming that he has already garnered some serious interest from Arsenal, who are ready to put him at the top of their priority list in the transfer window.

However, they’re facing some serious competition from Milan, who are keen to snap up the young forward after his slight physique and passing range has earned him comparisons to Spanish legend Xavi.

Gunners scouts have reportedly had him watched numerous times already this term, and have been impressed with his performances and versatility as he can occupy roles in central midfield and wide on the right.
