FIFA 16 ratings update: Scandal as Chelsea nobody & Ginger Pirlo deemed better than Tottenham prodigy

Posted by

Do the boffins at EA Sports watch the same Premier League as the rest of us?

If so, can somebody explain to me – feel free to tweet me @JoeFish08 – how Tottenham Hotspur prodigy Dele Alli can be so criminally undervalued that has the same FIFA 16 rating as Chelsea nobody Kenedy?

Alli’s rating for the original release was 67, and indeed five higher than that of Kenedy, but the winter update has seen the Spurs star and Brazilian adjudged equally on 72. How is that possible?

Nineteen-year-old Alli has scored seven goals, including some absolute stunners, and contributed five assists in the Premier League this season to help turn Tottenham into genuine title contenders.

Meanwhile, Kenedy, 20, has been entrusted to make just one top-flight start despite Chelsea’s disastrous campaign. He has made four appearances in cup competitions, scoring in a 4-1 win over Walsall.

How can Kenedy’s progress be calculated as twice of that of Alli’s?

And that is not where the injustices end against the Tottenham sensation. Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton (rating 75), Newcastle United midfielder Jack Colback (76) and Stoke City defender Philipp Wollscheid (77) are among the illustrious names that EA deem to worthy of a higher rating than Alli.

‘The ginger Pirlo’. Really? Well it could be worse. FIFA 16 could consider Istanbul Basaksehir’s unknown Bosnian winger Edin Visca to be a better player than Alli. Oh wait, they do – rating him 75.

Alli is too concerned with changing the face of the Premier League and getting ready to single-handedly win Euro 2016 for England – well, maybe not – to take any notice of something so trivial.

But, I will fight this fight for him! And I will not stop until there is action taken. EA Sports, do not make me do something that I might regret…like buy the next Pro Evolution game instead.
