Man United set to offer Neymar outrageous £1m-per-week deal to leave Barcelona

Manchester United are set to put an astounding offer of £1million-per-week on the table in a bid to tempt Neymar to join them from Barcelona over the summer, according to the Metro.

The Brazilian international is set to spark off a dramatic tug-of-war between the two Manchester clubs in the coming months as they look to capitalise on his apparent unrest in Catalonia.

The 24-year-old’s father has already hinted that there would be no valid reason for the player to extend his contract at the Nou Camp beyond its expiration in 2018.

Both clubs are apparently willing to meet his £144m release clause and are even ready to pay him £1m-per-season to snap him up.

And should that offer go through, it would make him the highest paid player in the world, though there are still doubts over whether he would actually be convinced to leave the Spanish champions.

But with Pep Guardiola lined up at City, that may give them an edge in negotiations.
