Man City in talks over deal for Roma starlet Leandro Paredes

Manchester City are said to have opened talks with Serie A giants Roma over the possible transfer of young midfielder Leandro Paredes, according to respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

The 21-year-old has been spending the season on loan with Empoli, and has caught City’s attention with a string of impressive performances so far.

Reports in Italy are citing Paredes as a big talent for the future, and Di Marzio believes that City feel he would add a significant quality to the side in the coming years and have already kicked off talks to bring him to the Etihad at the end of the season.

However, Roma have been equally impressed with his stint away from the capital, and are hoping to bring him into the first team set up there next season, so may not be so keen on cashing in on his signature just yet.
