Former Chelsea legend says John Terry could follow Jose Mourinho to Man United

Former Chelsea player and coach Ray Wilkins has said he believes Blues skipper John Terry could end up at Manchester United if Jose Mourinho ends up taking the manager’s job, talkSPORT reports.

Wilkins himself saw his playing career move from Stamford Bridge to Old Trafford and now feels Terry could go the same way at the end of the season.

Terry is out of contract at Chelsea in the summer, with no talks for a new one on the table, and though Wilkins doesn’t believe the defender would ordinarily join United, the lure of Mourinho may be too great to turn down.

“That would be a cheeky one from Jose but I wouldn’t put it past him,” Wilkins said when asked if Terry could head to Manchester.

“He will have that in his locker.

“Whether John would actually go to another Premier League club is another matter.

“He has stated that he wouldn’t, so that will be interesting.”
