Arsenal going after Bundesliga scoring machine with 27 goals in 27 matches

Not that Arsenal have been lacking for firepower lately, but with a formula for consistent success seemingly in place with their current roster, it appears the Gunners are going after one of the hottest transfer targets in Europe this summer: Borussia Dortmund scoring machine Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

According to the Metro, Arsenal have sent Aubameyang to the top of their upcoming transfer wishlist and are planning to retain the core of their current squad as well. Deals are already in the works for striker Alexis Sanchez and BPL assist-wizard Mesut Ozil.

This season, Aubameyang has 27 goals in 27 matches and has his eyes set on breaking the German scoring record for a single campaign – a feat not outside the realm of possibility given his form so far.

Arsenal may have to pay a hefty sum to land him though, as Liverpool have also been linked to the Dortmund superstar and are supposedly willing to pay a king’s ransom to reunite him with Jurgen Klopp.
