Video: Troy Deeney scores twice in 2-1 away win over Crystal Palace

Watford notched their 10th win of the Premier League season thanks to a superb performance from Troy Deeney, who increased his goal total to eight on the year as the club moved up into eighth place on the table.

Going up against a Crystal Palace team that has not won a Premier League match since mid-December, Deeney was the beneficiary of some frustration from an Eagles defender and drew a penalty kick – which he promptly converted easily.

After Emmanuel Adebayor tied the match up at halftime, Deeney was given another chance to score and like magic he got it again thanks to a right-footed shot to the bottom center, giving him his first multi-goal game of the season.

The goals for Deeney brought the Watford striker’s goal total up to eight on the season through 26 appearances. He also has six assists for the Premier League newcomers.

Deeney’s performance earned him Man of the Match honors.
