Man City to offer superb trio to Everton in exchange for John Stones

Rather than outbid the rest of Europe as they so often do, Manchester City are poised to take a different approach to acquiring Everton defender John Stones. Instead of offering a fortune in straight cash, the Citizens appear ready to offer a trio of quality players in exchange for the 21-year-old defensive ace.

According to the Metro, Man City are willing to offer midfielder Jesus Navas, forward Wilfried Bony and defender Eliaquim Mangala in exchange for the Everton and England superstar. John Stones has been one of the most sought after defenders in Europe, with the club reportedly rejecting multiple huge offers in exchange for their young stalwart.

Any or all of the three players on the table could conceivably become immediate starters for Everton immediately provided they can pay their wages. Collectively they have started over 30 games in the Premier League this season.

Despite having the highest rated defender on the market, Everton have struggled to keep the ball out of the net, allowing 35 goals in 26 matches.
