Manchester United to miss out on superstar to rivals offering £580,000 a week

Manchester United look set to miss out on signing Barcelona star Neymar this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain readying a sensational offer.

The 24-year-old has reportedly been a target for the Red Devils in recent months, with speculation suggesting that a January offer for the Brazilian was rejected by the Catalan giants, as reported by The Express.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are also said to be interested in the star forward, who has previously conceded that he would love to work with incoming coach Pep Guardiola.

However, Brazilian outlet UOL, as reported by The Express, are suggesting that PSG will hijack his move to the Premier League and will leave the two Manchester clubs disappointed by offering him a staggering wage packet.

It is claimed that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is putting the finishing touches to a contract worth £30m per season to sign Neymar, and will hope to add him to an already daunting squad in the French capital.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic potentially extending his stay in Paris too, it remains to be seen who will be sacrificed if the French champions are serious about signing Neymar, although Ezequiel Lavezzi will be the first heading out of the exit door as the Argentine’s contract will expire in the summer with no suggestion that a new agreement is imminent.

UOL add that the Ligue 1 giants will be willing to pay the £144m release clause in Neymar’s contract, although the Spanish media claim that he is in talks with Barca over a new deal which in turn will allow speculation to continue to spread until an announcement is made.
