It’s safe to say that Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez delivered a healthy dose of revenge to Celta for dealing them their worst defeat in years earlier this season. With Barcelona safely ahead with a 3-1 lead at the 80′ mark, Messi had a chance at a penalty kick, but instead of simply trying to make the attempt, he and Suarez teamed up for a bit of trickery to catch the Celta goalkeeper off guard and stun Nou Camp with a sensational goal.
The wonderful piece of trickery brought back memories of an ill-fated attempt by Thierry Henry and Robert Pires to do something similar in a famous flop many years ago. The difference was, unlike the two Arsenal legends, Messi and Suarez pulled it off:
That is why I’ll always be a fan of Messi’s before Ronaldo! Truly unselfish footballer who cares more for the team than his own records!!

Barca are genuinely that good that they don’t even take football seriously anymore. https://t.co/KtJS7lKqhA

The win for Barcelona gave them 30 consecutive games in all competitions without a defeat. The only clubs to beat them in any competition since they won the Champions League are Celta and Athletic Bilbao – both of which came on the road – far away from Nou Camp.
