Chelsea transfer target & possible John Terry replacement keen to end career at PSG

Speaking to the British media, Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Thiago Silva has insisted that he is keen to end his career with the French giants.

The Brazil and PSG skipper has been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent months, notably as a replacement for John Terry. The Blues captain is set to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, with the Pensioners having decided that he is not deserving of a new deal.

Considering Terry’s imminent departure, the long-term injury suffered by Kurt Zouma, and the recent decline of Branislav Ivanovic.

Indeed, Thiago Silva remains one of Europe’s finest centre-backs, having enjoyed major success at AC Milan before becoming the rock upon which PSG’s recent glory has been built.

However, any hopes Roman Abramovich may have had of procuring the centre-back as a replacement for Terry have been dashed, with the defender insisting that he is keen to end his career at the Parc des Princes.

“No, no. [The Chelsea rumour] has come from Brazil but it is not true,” he began, as reported by the Telegraph. “I want to finish my career here.”
