Liverpool are apparently preparing a move to sign highly-rated Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan this summer, according to reports in Russia.
The deep-lying midfielder has been on Liverpool’s radar for several years now but has always put off a move by declaring his intention to remain with Dortmund.
However, rumours have surfaced recently claiming that the player is stalling on a new contract and Sport-Express.ru Editor Artur Petrosyan now believes that this is all the encouragement the Reds will need to put an offer on the table.
Juventus are now also in for Ilkay Gundogan. Them, Real Madrid and Liverpool will all try to sign him in the summer.

However, both Real Madrid and Juventus are also said to be keeping tabs on his situation, meaning there could be an almighty scramble for his signature.
But Jurgen Klopp already knows the player well, having managed him during his own time at Dortmund, and their pre-existing relationship could prove vital when it comes to negotiations.
