Ex-Man City star & Serie A hitman wanted by West Ham

According to reports in the Italian media, West Ham United are keen to bring Edin Dzeko back to the Premier League.

The Bosnia striker spent four years for England, representing Manchester City, but left Eastlands during the summer in order to secure a move to Serie A heavyweights Roma.

He hasn’t truly impressed in the Italian top flight, bagging only four goals and contributing two assists in 20 league outings for the Giallorossi, while managing two goals and one assist in six Champions league bouts.

Despite this, the 29-year-old has piqued the interest of West Ham boss Slaven Bilic, with Leggo [via Serie A news] reporting that the Hammers boss is keen to move for the forward during the summer as he looks to consolidate the East London side’s recent rise in the league standings.

However, should the Irons look to move for the Eastern European forward, they may well face competition from Besiktas, with Bilic’s former side also keen on recruiting the former Wolfsburg hitman.
