Neymar hints that Man United & City have a shot at signing him

Of the three elite forwards at Barcelona, Neymar has been the most heavily rumoured to be ready for a move to the Premier League. Though the Brazilian megastar and Ballon d’Or finalist has consistently pledged his allegiance to the La Liga outfit, he has dropped subtle hints that he could be persuaded to join another club – provided the right people were there.

According to the Metro, Neymar praised incoming Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola as well as Jose Mourinho, the supposed next manager at Manchester United, confessing to having followed the pair’s exploits for years.

‘I am an admirer of Guardiola and Mourinho,’ Neymar said. ‘I have followed his work for many years.’

Neymar would qualify his statement of support for the two former Champions League winners by adding that he was still loyal to Barcelona and his manager Luis Enrique.

‘However, my manager is Luis Enrique and I work for Barcelona,’ he added.

Neymar is believed to have a transfer fee worth upwards of £100 million at the very least. The Barcelona forward has been nearly unstoppable this season for both club and country, scoring 23 goals in 32 competitions for the reigning La Liga and Champions League title winners, as well as 19 goals in the past two years for Brazil.
