Barcelona megastar Luis Suarez may be a demigod on the football pitch, but off of it he’s still as human as the rest of us and forgets things just like a normal person. The former Premier League scoring machine apparently almost missed the trip to England after he forgot one important thing before going through the airport.
According to the Express, Suarez left his passport at home and nearly missed the team flight to London. The Uruguayan striker reportedly sent someone to his residence to pick up the documentation and got it back before the flight took off.
Suarez was recorded arriving at Emirates Stadium ahead of the Champions League clash against Arsenal with Neymar by his side in a video from the Barcelona official website.
Not that Barcelona are lacking for firepower between Neymar and Lionel Messi, but Suarez’s absence would likely have been a major loss for the club. He has goals in each of his last seven matches and has scored 15 times in the past nine matches, giving him 41 goals for Barcelona in all competitions.
