New Chelsea boss already has John Terry replacement picked out

While nobody can actually replace everything that John Terry brings to Stamford Bridge week-in and week-out, incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte appears to have a man who can at least take over his position at the centre-back position once Terry leaves and while Kurt Zouma heals.

According to the Metro, Conte has identified Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci as one of his first targets when he arrives at Stamford Bridge following Euro 2016.

The 28-year-old Bonucci has played for Conte both with Juventus and the Italian national team. He has been a model of consistency at the position, missing only a handful of games between Juventus and his former club Bari since 2009. Bonucci has also served as captain of Italy under Conte and has been capped 53 times.

Last year Bonuccis was named to the Serie A Team of the Year as Juventus won their fourth straight Serie A title.

John Terry is not expected to return after announcing the team had refused to offer him a new contract. Kurt Zouma could very well miss the start of the 2015-16 season with a torn knee ligament he suffered earlier this year.
