Premier League alerted by Real Madrid 10-man exodus

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane will reportedly spearhead a complete overhaul of the squad this summer with the sale of up to 10 star names.

With the blessing of president Florentino Perez, the Spanish giants will look to rebuild the team this summer in order to get them back competing with rivals Barcelona and Atletico Madrid for trophies.

Amongst the high profile names linked with an exit are Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos, according to Sport as noted by The Express, although it remains to be seen how likely that will be.

However, the report goes on to suggest that Pepe, Alvaro Arbeloa, Danilo, Casemiro, Isco, James Rodriguez, Jese Rodriguez and Toni Kroos are all at risk of being sacrificed by Los Blancos in order to fund a major summer spending spree.

David de Gea, Eden Hazard, Paul Pogba and Robert Lewandowski are all named as their main targets, but again, it is unclear at this stage as to whether or not the club has the financial muscle to sign all four superstars in one transfer window.

After an impressive start to life at the Bernabeu for Zidane, things have begun to derail for the French tactician in recent weeks with their La Liga title push seemingly coming to an end after defeat in the Madrid derby.

Although they still hold hopes of progressing to the latter stages of the Champions League, it remains to be seen whether or not the 43-year-old is able to deliver silverware in his first few months in the job after replacing Rafael Benitez in January.

In turn, it appears to be quite a risk to rebuild with the inexperienced coach at the helm, but Madrid are expected to be busy at the end of the season regardless.
