Neymar is invaluable but he apparently isn’t completely irreplaceable as long as Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez still patrol the front-line of Barcelona. The latest stand-in for an absent member of “MSN” was 20-year-old Munir El Haddadi, who was on the receiving end of an incredible piece of footwork from Messi and Suarez before slamming the ball into the Eibar net.
From the sidelines – far closer to the center line than the end line – Messi launched an absolute rocket into the Eibar box into the awaiting foot of Suarez. The Uruguayan then made a quick, accurate pass to Munir in the goalkeeper’s area who caught it brilliantly and knocked it in for a score and a 2-0 lead against the eight-place La Liga outfit.
Even without Neymar, currently under a suspension for yellow card accumulation, Barcelona have shown no signs of letting up as they continue their historic undefeated run in all competitions.
