Arsene Wenger has been Arsenal manager since 1996 – that’s 19 years!
According to the Metro, Gunners chiefs want to keep Wenger for another 19 years – until he’s a 85.
But the Metro may have got it wrong. Shocking, right?!
Do Arsenal want 19 more years of Wenger? We think @Metro_Sport have twisted his words! https://t.co/BeayOVbwp9 #AFC pic.twitter.com/5OX5zjO1sD

The key Wenger quote from the free newspaper’s article reads: “The people who own the club tell me to be here for 19 years. Do you think they’re more stupid than me or you?”
We reckon that Wenger was simply reiterating that he has been trusted by his employers throughout the duration of his 19 years at the club – that he would have been sacked if that were not the case.
But the Metro claim that the quote means Wenger thinks he is wanted at the Emirates for another 19 years!
What do you think?
Did Arsene Wenger really say 'Arsenal want him to stay for another 19 years'?
