Future Chelsea boss compiles five-man summer transfer wishlist

Antonio Conte is expected to take charge at Chelsea this summer, and the Italian is reportedly already putting together his list of transfer targets.

With his contract with the FIGC (Italian FA) expiring after Euro 2016, speculation has continued to link him with the post at Stamford Bridge.

While there has been talk of a meeting with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich in Monte Carlo this week, it appears as though the Italian tactician is set for the Premier League given the strength of the reports.

In turn, as reported by The Express, the former Juventus boss has identified a list of players that he wants to join him in west London next season.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, he will look at former club Juve, with Leonardo Bonucci and Juan Cuadrado reportedly on his priority list.

With John Terry set to leave at the end of the season after revealing that no plans are in place to sign an extension, the Blues will possibly need a new leader at the heart of their defence, and Bonucci has proven up to the task for several years with the Turin giants and Italy.

Meanwhile, Conte is said to be keen on giving Cuadrado another chance in England, while PSG striker Edinson Cavani is also of interest.

Roma pair Miralem Pjanic and Radja Nainggolan would arrive to bolster the midfield, with Conte essentially rebuilding the core of the squad.

Paul Pogba has also been mentioned but isn’t expected to be available, but it will still likely be a busy summer for Conte who will firstly hope to lead the Azzurri to glory in France.
