The Ligue 1 champions arrived in west London with a 2-1 aggregate lead from the first leg, and knew that the first goal would be important.

Having dominated possession in the early stages with some impressive build-up play, the visitors saw Angel Di Maria denied by a clearance off the line before Zlatan Ibrahimovic saw an effort ruled out for offside.

Although the home side showed signs of getting back into it, it wasn’t long before Laurent Blanc’s men produced some excellent play with Thiago Motta and Lucas Moura involved.

However, it was Ibrahimovic who produced the perfectly weighted cross that left Thibaut Courtois stranded, with Rabiot bursting forward from midfield to tap home into an empty net.

Chelsea hit back through Diego Costa and with the game relatively open, they will have to guard against conceding another which would arguably end the tie with PSG eyeing a spot in the quarter-finals of the competition.
