Photo: When Noel Gallagher met Carlos Tevez

Oasis legend Noel Gallagher paid a visit to La Bombonera, the home of Boca Juniors, on Friday, and met up with Carlos Tevez.

Argentine striker Tevez spend a fruitful spell at Gallagher’s beloved Manchester City, and clearly—if this photo is anything to go by, the rock legend still has much affection for the hard-working forward.

In the first of two photographs shared by Boca’s official Twitter handle, Gallagher and Tevez are seen in fond embrace, while the second shot depicts a more stony-faced Gallagher being presented by a Boca kit by current coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto.

In a further photograph, shared on Boca’s Instagram page, the singer and composer is seen on the Bombonera turf, in a snazzy fisheye shot that looks as though it could have been the album cover of one of Oasis’s early 90s albums.

Despite his somewhat troubled stay at City, it’s easy to see why Tevez has earned such affection with die-hard Sky Blues supporter Gallagher.
