Arsenal poised to lose £15m star to London rival

A consistent spot on the starting XI has often been hard to come by for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Between injury and poor form the young Arsenal midfielder has started just 15 of the 31 games he’s been featured in for all competitions this season. However, a London club trying to build a title contender seem to view ‘Ox’ as an important piece to their puzzle.

According to the Metro, West Ham United are eyeing Ox in a potential £15 million transfer move. Per the source, West Ham manager Slaven Bilic is eager to secure the 22-year-old midfielder for a possible push for the Champions League in the near-future.

As of writing, the Hammers are in fifth place on the table but just two points behind Manchester City for the coveted fourth-and-final Champions League slot. They also lead Manchester United by two points for their current spot in what would likely be the Europa League group stage in the 2016-17 season.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has made just nine BPL starts and averaged less than 45 minutes per game all season. His first goal of the campaign, however, was the game-winning score in Arsenal’s 1-0 FA Community Shield win over Chelsea.
