Top Man United performer plans to stay at Old Trafford ‘for many years’

A large portion of the football world only first heard the name ‘Anthony Martial‘ when it was announced that Manchester United had paid a whopping £36 million to AS Monaco for the French teen. In the seven months since the move though, Martial has become one of European football’s fastest rising stars and a top player at Old Trafford. In light of his new success and fame, the young striker plans to be a member of the Red Devils for a long time.

During a recent interview [per the Metro], Martial revealed that he finds the Premier League more of a challenge than Ligue 1, where he got his big break in pro football and plans to stay in England ‘for many years to come’. He also complimented English football culture, finding that the people share his passion for the game – something not shared to the same degree in France.

‘The Premier League is more physically demanding than Ligue 1,’ Marital said. ‘I love English football, it’s the best in the world in my opinion, and I hope to stay here for many years to come.’

‘It’s true that the atmosphere here is quite different from the one in France, people live and breathe football here, and that’s what I like, every footballer wants to play in the Premier League.

‘In France it’s easy to know which team is going to win the game, where as in England anywhere you play, you know it’s going to be difficult.’

Martial is Man United’s leading BPL goalscorer alongside Wayne Rooney with seven goals. He also trails Rooney as the second-leading overall goalscorer with 11 total goals in 38 games this year.

The 20-year-old striker won the prestigious Golden Boy Award for 2015, an honour shared by Rooney, Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Cesc Fabregas.
