Tottenham Player Ratings vs. Bournemouth: Match report as Kane stars & Spurs close gap to leaders

Posted by

Tottenham Hotspur moved back five point behind Leicester City after thoroughly outclassing Bournemouth at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Spurs—and specifically Harry Kane—were devastating during the first half, scoring twice as they put Eddie Howe’s Cherries to the sword.

The England international opened the scoring from close range in the first minute of the match after turning in a Kyle Walker cross, and after that, it was all downhill for the visitors.

Kane added a second a quarter of an hour later after fine work from Dele Alli, before Christian Eriksen sealed the win after the break with Spurs’ third of the day and his sixth of the season.

Leicester moved eight points clear after defeating Crystal Palace on Saturday, but Spurs’ victory has closed the gap to five points, and also takes them six ahead of Arsenal, who themselves saw off Everton earlier in the weekend.

Here are the Tottenham Player Ratings from White Hart Lane, as Mauricio Pochettino’s boys march on with their 17th victory of the season.
