Arsenal fans can exhale, because their young stud of a striker is perfectly healthy and ready to return to football. Despite being hospitalized for a bad case of food poisoning, Alex Iwobi has now been released and is on his way to join up with the Nigeria senior team.

According to the Mirror, despite multiple caps with England’s Under- squads, Iwobi turned down an offer from the FA to join the Three Lions and will instead pledge his allegiance to his native Nigeria.

The 19-year-old received a call up and will be on the roster when they take on Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations on Friday.

Iwobi scored his first ever senior goal for Arsenal in his first start with the club during a 2-0 away win over Everton. He spent over a decade in the Gunners youth academy and received 11 caps for various Under- teams in England during his time in London.
