Zlatan Ibrahimovic to be offered €75m deal to snub Premier League for China

PSG forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reportedly the subject of a sensational €75m offer from China as rumours continue to circulate over his future.

The Swede’s contract with the Ligue 1 champions expires at the end of the season, and with no suggestion that a renewal is imminent, he could be forced to consider his options outside of France.

While the Premier League and a return to Italy have been touted, The Sun claim that the Chinese government are willing to help out and ensure that the former AC Milan and Barcelona star joins the CSL.

Naturally, given such an investment, the government believe that the 34-year-old can become the face of the league and continue to ensure that it grows in both popularity and strength from a competitive and infrastructure point of view.

While it isn’t clear which team he would play for as of yet, it would certainly be an intriguing offer for Ibrahimovic who has dominated in every league in Europe he has featured in.

Having won titles in Holland, Italy, Spain and France, a move to England appeared to be a possibility with Juan Mata welcoming a possible arrival at Manchester United, but unsurprisingly it is impossible for any team in the Premier League to compete financially with the figures being suggested in the deal from China.

The CSL has already landed several major scalps this year with the likes of Alex Teixeira, Jackson Martinez and Ezequiel Lavezzi to name but a few moving to the Far East, but Ibrahimovic’s arrival would certainly be the biggest of them all.

The Swedish international will be focused on helping PSG add the Champions League to their domestic crown in the coming months, before leading his country out at Euro 2016 in France.

As a result, it is unlikely that any decision will be reached any time soon, but the offer from China, if genuine, will certainly give him something to think about as he considers his options for next season.
