Sometimes it can be the tiniest of things that can indicate big changes. Nowhere is that more apparent than on social media, where Benfica midfield star Renato Sanches has just dropped a subtle hint that a move to Manchester United could be in the works.
This past week Sanches began following Man United on Instagram amidst reports that the Red Devils are seeking to sign him in a transfer deal worth up to £46 million.
According to the Metro, Man United are offering a £30.7 million transfer fee with up to £15.3 million in potential add-ons.
Sanches has been one of the fastest rising stars in Portugal at just 18 years old, scoring twice in 18 appearances for the Primeira Liga giants and earning his first cap for Fernando Santos’ side in Friday’s friendly against Belgium.
Man United are expected to part ways with several starting midfielders this summer including but not limited to veteran Michael Carrick, and could have Sanches lined up as one of their top targets.
