20-year-old striker Chuba Akpom already has a handful of appearances with the Arsenal first team, but he is still considered very raw and has spent the majority of his last three years of senior action on various loan spells. Now at Hull City and making a name for himself, the English striker believes he will be ready to take a place on the Gunners lineup next year.

In a recent interview [per the Metro], Akpom revealed that he enjoyed his time – albeit brief – with the Arsenal starting XI and is looking forward to getting back to the team next season.

‘I’ve enjoyed every minute of it,’ Akpom said.

‘Arsenal’s a good club and I’ve always wanted to play for the first team there so I’m looking forward to going back at the end of the season.’

Akpom has seven goals in 35 appearances for Championship side, notching a hat trick against Bury in the FA Cup during a 3-1 win. Prior to his move to Hull City, Akpom made nine appearances for the Gunners between 2013 and 2015 and has made multiple caps for various England Under- teams.
