Man United superstar a target for Juventus if they lose Morata

Many Man United fans consider the remarkable development of French starlet Anthony Martial to be one of the lone bright spots of an otherwise disappointing campaign at home and abroad. Unfortunately, his growth has not gone without notice from other Champions League clubs with deep pockets.

According to the Metro, Juventus have expressed interest in landing Martial in a transfer should they lose star striker Alvaro Morata in a Real Madrid buy-back. Among the Serie A giants’ other prime striker targets is PSG ace Edinson Cavani. However, per Tuttomercatoweb, Martial is the preference for the Old Lady front office.

Martial recorded an assist in Friday’s friendly against the Netherlands and is Man United’s second-leading scorer in all competitions behind Wayne Rooney with 12 goals on the year.

The likelihood that Man United would dare to sell Martial seems very low after they paid a record-setting sum and received more than adequate production from the French starlet in his first year at Old Trafford. But as he gets better and Thierry Henry and Ronaldo comparisons continue to make headway, the Red Devils will likely need to pay Martial a pretty penny to keep him happy (especially if they can’t get back to the Champions League).
