League of Ireland side Cobh Ramblers have denied that they are on the brink of appointing Manchester City coach Manuel Pellegrini, in what would be a truly astonishing move!
Strangely, the Chilean manager was photographed visiting Cobh on Sunday, with fans of the club sharing his photo on Twitter and prompting speculation that the manager would be signing for the Irish side when he leaves the Etihad Stadium.

“Despite Manuel Pellegrini being spotted in Cobh today,” the club wrote on their @CobhRamblersFC account, “we can confirm that he is not set to join the club.”
Former Real Madrid coach Pellegrini won the Premier League with the Sky Blues in 2014, and has also won two League Cups with the Citizens, in 2014 and earlier this year, when they defeated Liverpool on penalties at Wembley.
