Chelsea looking at £31.5m Napoli star as John Terry replacement

Between John Terry‘s imminent departure from Chelsea and Kurt Zouma’s expected recovery time, Antonio Conte will need to make some big decisions in the centre-back position this summer should Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic not be up to the task. One of the top targets he could have his eyes on is Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly.

According to the Metro, Chelsea have been scouting Koulibaly and are plotting a transfer move for the £31.5 million-rated star. However, per the Daily Telegraph, Napoli are working on a contract extension with their star defender to ward off interest from opposing clubs.

Though Antonio Conte is believed to have his eyes on Leonardo Bonucci and Kostas Manolas, Koulibaly is viewed as his first fall-back option.

John Terry is expected to leave Chelsea at the end of the season after not being offered a new deal, but Antonio Conte is supposedly looking to make one last effort at getting him to return. Zouma suffered a serious knee injury in a match several months ago and is expected to miss the majority of summer training.
