Perhaps the best signing by Man City since Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne has proven himself invaluable and lethal on numerous occasions, picking up where he left off and scoring a goal to pour on the misery against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Belgian attacker notched the Citizens’ second goal of the first 15 minutes – and his 13th since making his Premier League debut in September – with a perfectly placed strike of an assist from David Silva that Bournemouth stopper Artur Boruc had no hope of defending from the edge of the box.
De Bruyne signed for Man City in one of the most expensive transfers of all-time following a stellar career with Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.
He was the Bundesliga Player of the Year for the 2014-15 season after leading the German league in assists – a trend he was on pace to continue in the Premier League before suffering a serious leg injury in January.
The Belgian midfielder now has 6 goals and 9 assists in 20 BPL appearances for the Citizens.
