Payet followed on his outstanding campaign with OM last season, where he hit seven goals and contributed 16 assists, the 29-year-old has been in magnificent form this season.
The playmaker has contributed eight assists for West Ham United, and also scored nine goals, making a case that he ought to be considered among other Player of the Year nominees such as Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez.
