Video: Liverpool 4-1 Stoke City – Divock Origi scores… without even trying!

Posted by

Some kind of other-worldly power must have decreed that Divock Origi would score multiple goals today, because the Liverpool starlet may have actually defied the laws of physics to score a goal – and he didn’t even try to score to get it.

After getting his first goal of the day at the 50′ mark, Origi tried to set up a long pass to Daniel Sturridge. However, he hit the ball with such a tight spin that it actually curled in the perfect angle to slip past Jakob Haugaard for Liverpool’s fourth goal of the match, giving them a 4-1 lead over the visiting Potters.

Now THAT is how you make a statement goal.

It has been an incredible week for Origi, who scored a crucial away goal against Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League to give them a slight edge against the Bundesliga giants heading into the second leg of the competition this coming week.
