Arsene Wenger is reportedly moving forward with Arsenal’s pursuit of Ajax wonderkid Riechedly Bazoer.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal chief scout Steve Rowley was sent for another check on the 19-year-old midfielder, who is widely regarded as one of the best young talents across the whole of Europe.

The Mirror reports that Arsenal’s London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as Barcelona, are also interested in Bazoer, and that Wenger could attempt to get ahead by sanctioning a bid.

Bazoer has scored seven goals in 59 games for Ajax and has already made his senior international debut for Netherlands. He is just one of several teenagers seemingly on a shortlist at the Emirates.

The Mirror understands that Leicester City full-back Ben Chilwell, 19, and Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon, 16, are also on Arsenal’s radar ahead of a summer shake-up to refresh the squad.

Midfield trio Tomas Rosicky, Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini, all over 30, could be moved out to make room for Wenger’s crop of up-and-comers as Arsenal focus on intaking youth, reports The Mirror.
