PSG defender Marquinhos has found minutes hard to come by in Ligue 1 this season, but that doesn’t seem to be stopping Chelsea and Manchester United from fighting tooth and nail in order to bring him to England.
According to the Independent, the two Premier League giants are both very interested in signing the Brazilian back. With the versatility to play centre- and right-back, Marquinhos could fill in for any starter at either Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge immediately.
Marquinhos has appeared in 34 matches for PSG this season, but has been given just 16 starts in Ligue 1 after being featured considerably more in his prior two seasons in France. Although some of the factors in his loss of minutes has been the team’s preference to David Luiz and Thiago Silva over the 21-year-old Brazilian.
