Defiant Arsenal boss refuses to discuss future amid trophy-less season

Already eliminated from the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup, Arsenal’s only route to any silverware this season would be to win the Premier League. But with 100/1 odds to actually finish the task, manager Arsene Wenger has once again been placed under the microscope by the media over his future with the club – an issue he refused to address this week.

During his Wednesday press conference, Wenger maintained that he is still under contract with the club and refused to answer additional questions about his future at Emirates Stadium.

‘I do not want to come back on that, I respect always my contract,’ Wenger said when asked about his status [per the Metro].

After being pressed on the matter, Wenger got upset and replied, ‘Look, I’ve just answered your question.’

Arsenal have surrendered the lead in two straight London games against West Ham United and Crystal Palace, drawing both matches and falling to fourth on the table. As of writing, the Gunners need to win out in the final five games without table leaders Leicester City acquiring more than two points in the final four games.

However, Arsenal are still capable of clinching automatic Champions League qualification.
